I create photographs of wild, quiet places—scenes meant to be felt as much as seen. Each print is an invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the natural world.
I came to photograph sunset on the Maine coast, expecting little, and found the sky opening into color. Pink gathered slowly, then spread across the western horizon, brief and luminous, as the sun slipped away. Wonder took hold of me--nature stopping me in my tracks, and this was one of those moments—its beauty overwhelming, its presence almost physical. For a few quiet minutes, it felt as though the land was offering a private gift, witnessed by only a handful of us on the shore. In that moment, wonder felt simple and complete—something that arrives only when we stay long enough to see.
