I create photographs of wild, quiet places—scenes meant to be felt as much as seen. Each print is an invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the natural world.
I love photographing sunrise over the Atlantic, and this one has stayed with me. Ram Island Ledge Lighthouse stands on rocky outcrops that once caused shipwrecks, its keeper’s quarters built within the tower as it guards the entrance to Portland Harbor. The tide rose and fell around the base, making the light, the calm, and even the ground feel temporary. For a brief moment, as the sun broke the horizon, it felt as though the lighthouse was welcoming the day, taking up its quiet work in the harbor once again.
